Overview
Before practicing law, Bret studied chemical and biological engineering at The University of Alabama. While at Alabama, Bret worked as a research assistant for a lab that focuses on bioprocessing expansion of cancer stem cells. Bret also helped cultivate a student-run microfinance initiative aimed at providing local businesses with greater access to capital and development resources.
Bret graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law where he served as pro bono coordinator for the Carolina Intellectual Property Law Association and was a founding board member of the Entrepreneurial Law Association.
